We would like to inform you that Turkey has imposed a heavy tariff on the import of compound from Iran, and this tariff is only for the compound product, and the Virgin Petrochemical product will still be imported into Turkey with the previous tariff.
The tariffs are as follows:
Light polyethylene compound $120 per ton
Heavy polyethylene compound $200 per ton
Polystyrene compound $50 per ton
These amounts are in addition to 6.5% customs duties and 20% value added tax.
This new circular will be implemented from next month.
